DAY 1: Arrival day Check – In at Lushoto Eco Home and Optional hike to Irente Viewpoint. Arrive and check inn at Lushoto Eco Home. Relax for some minutes and then meet our guide for briefing. DAY 2: (4-6 hrs.) After Breakfast start trek toward Mazumbai, which is located the southeast and facing east of the West Usambaras. The trekking is through the villages and agricultural land; pass through the villages of Kwadoe and Hehangala on the way view individual tea growers and Herkulu Organic tea estate. Picnic lunch at the top of Vuluni village where you experience the daily life of the Wasambaa with an excellent view of Bumbuli and East Usambara mountains. Dinner and accommodation at Community based home stay at Kwalei Day 3: (5-7hrs) After breakfast, commence walking to Mazumbai via Mbokoi village at the top of the ridge offering superb views and a chance to meet local people. Enter the rain forest, bird watching on route watch birds on the way as well as black and white Columbus Monkeys, incredible place to observe the nature. The 320-hectare forest reserve has been set aside for ecological contorting and high education studies, stretching from 1350m above sea level to 1900m at the top where the zone bounds of vegetation change. Mazumbai is a bird lover¹s paradise. 0900 Walk through the farm land, learn about old farming practices in the Usambara, Dinner and overnight at Mazumbai Rest House. Day 4: 5-6hrs Trek from Mazumbai to Bumbuli via villages along nice View over the Lwengera valley to via another way round back to Bumbuli. Have lunch somewhere in Bumbuli and then take private car back to Lushoto and overnight at Lushoto Eco Home. Day 5: 20/08/2025 Pick the bus to Dar es saalam or Arusha End of the Tour
