Lesotho, the "Kingdom in the Sky," is a landlocked mountainous country completely surrounded by South Africa. With a population of about 2.3 million and capital in Maseru, it is known for its high-altitude scenery (entirely above 1,400 meters) and the Maloti Mountains.
