Kigoma

Kigoma is a port city and the administrative capital of western Tanzania, located on the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. It serves as the country’s main gateway to the Great Lakes region and an access point for Gombe Stream National Park and Mahale Mountains National Park, famous for wild chimpanzees. Its historic role in trade and rail transport makes it one of Tanzania’s most strategic inland centers.
